MakeupOTD: Bold Lips and Berry Cheeks

This morning was one of those mornings where I had my whole outfit and makeup look planned to a T, and then had a change of heart last minute.  Figures!  I was itching to wear my navy, high-waisted, pleated skirt this morning, which I paired with a plain black top and black flat shoes.  I had a minute to decide on a lip color, before I would officially be late for work.  With my entire outfit being rather neutral and dark, I needed a big bold pop of color…

I adore berry colored lips for the fall and winter.  I bought the Revlon Lacquer Balm in Flirtatious probably about 2 years ago, and to be honest, I had rather neglected it the first year I had it.  My love for this lipstick really came about last year, and has been rekindled yet again this year.  It’s just bright enough for a pop of color amidst the cold season, but not so bright as to be daytime inappropriate.

While my lipstick color changes day to day depending on my outfit, the rest of my makeup routine remains quite predictable.  My go-to blush in the fall and winter is the Milani Baked Blush in Berry Amore.  And of course, I can’t go a day without my highlighter: the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop.

The way the natural light hits the highlighter is just beautiful.  I’m abslutely in love with this highlighter.  Well done Becca!
