TV >> This month, I’m currently loving the show Bizarre Foods on Netflix. My boyfriend recently introduced this show to me, after a longstanding joke about how every time we turn on the tv, the only show on is Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, starring Guy Fieri. We joke about it, but it is one of my favorite shows to watch on tv. Anyway, we thought it would be a good idea to try another show along the same line. DDD follows Guy as he travels across the country, trying foods at various local joints. Bizarre Foods follows Andrew Zimmern as he travels across the world, which means he often eats…well, bizarre foods.
MUSIC >> I normally put 2 to 3 songs from my iPod on repeat for what seems like an eternity, but this month I’ve been pressing play on the whole entire list of songs. A couple of the songs that stand out to me, however, are 2 songs by Rixton: Hotel Ceiling and Wait On Me.
DRUGSTORE FAVORITE >> The warm weather seems to finally be sticking around this month, and my hair is finally long enough to tie, so I’ve been loving these no slip grip hair ties from Scunci’s The Evolution line. These piqued my interest when I first saw them at CVS a while back, but I postponed buying them until my hair was longer. When my hair was long enough, I was dismayed to learn that the store no longer stocked these hair ties. I finally hunted them down at Stop & Shop, and have been using only these hair ties and no others since. They’re rubberized, instead of fabric-bound elastics, so they really do stay put much much longer. I have straight, smooth hair, and hair ties never seem to stay in place. Fabulous high ponytails? Not for me. Now with these rubberized hair ties, maybe I’ll be able to achieve the high ponytail look when my hair grows out a bit more. Wish me luck!
